Which is sweeter, Red Grapefruit or Golden Grapefruit?
Sweetness is definitely a matter of personal taste. Many customers prefer Ruby Red Grapefruit; other like Golden (sometimes called "White") Grapefruit.
Should I store my fruit in the fridge?
To extend the life of your fruit, store it in a cool area—ideally, about 45 degrees. Storing it in your refrigerator is fine, but remember that fruit tends to dry out a little more quickly in the fridge.
How long will fruit last if I store it in the refrigerator?
About 2-3 weeks.
I've noticed that sometimes my oranges look a little green. Does that mean they're not ripe?
No, not at all! Outside color depends on the climate. When our temperatures are mild (usually early in the season), our trees are busy putting more natural sugar into the fruit than color into the skin. When the weather turns cooler, the color of the oranges turn yellow-orange, the way you're used to seeing them.
Rest assured that all our citrus is picked at the peak of perfection, fully ripe and ready to enjoy. We wouldn't have it any other way here at Harvey's.
Can I substitute all oranges or grapefruit in a package that's advertised as a combination of the two?
We can do this on most variety boxes. But we cannot make substitutions in gift baskets, especially those that include candies, jellies and other non-fruit components.

Usually within a week to 10 days. We normally ship once a week to give us time to pick your fruit and process the order. The exception is December, when we ship every day. We don't guarantee a specific ship date during December because trucks are going to different areas of the country each day. We can only guarantee that your Christmas gift orders will arrive in time for the holiday.

Typically 5-7 business days, though it may take longer if you're shipping to states in the far West, such as California or Oregon.
Can I ship to a PO box?
Orders sent through the Post Office can go to PO boxes. But if you've requested expedited shipping through FedEx, you may only ship to a street address. Remember: FedEx orders may only be placed by a phone call to Customer Service at 1-800-327-9312.

For Thanksgiving delivery, order by Sunday, November 14, 2010.

For Christmas delivery, order by Tuesday, December 14.
Will orders placed after the Christmas cutoff date arrive before Christmas?
We will do our best to send orders placed after December 12 to arrive between Christmas and early January. Occasionally, they arrive in time for Christmas, but we can't guarantee that. However, we will send your gift recipient an attractive card that lets them know a package will be arriving shortly after Christmas.
